Good To Know
We booked a vacation package to SeaWorld through their website and stayed at a partner hotel. The park is a great size for families to spend a day at. It would be difficult to really see and ride everything in one day, but two days is perfect. All of the shows are fantastic, try and make them all. The One Ocean daytime show has a different feel than the night time Shamu Celebration with fireworks so they are both worth seeing. If you are in the splash zone, you WILL get wet. Don’t think the last row is safe, if you want to be dry, make sure you sit in the right seats. Included in our stay was the behind the scenes tour which lasted about 30 minutes total. It was educational and full of information to help you see that Sea World does have the best intentions and is providing a lot of good for marine life. I think this part is geared more for adults or teens who are interested in wildlife preservation and to see how the park functions. The food in the park is average, but I didn’t expect anything fantastic. The Shark restaurant requires reservations but it is a cool experience, not as severely overpriced as I thought it would be, and the food was the best in the whole park. The queue lines for rides aren’t terribly long and if you have their quick queue there is a 0-5 minute wait tops. The large rides do make you put any loose items or bags in a locker $1 for an hour, and depending on the time of day, waiting for a locker could be longer than waiting for the actual ride. I wouldn’t mind visiting again in a few years to see how they are overhauling the orca whale exhibits and see how the park changes as a whole. Visiting SeaWorld is a fun day/two-day trip that offers something for every age.
I absolutely love SeaWorld, never disappointed. We visited on a Monday, it was not extremely crowded. I don't think the park is open long enough, not enough time in the day to see everything. We love the shows they are fantastic!!! Aside from the kids complaining of all the walking...I have no complaints. We did the all day food and drink, food was ok...nice to be able to easily get drinks all day since it is so hot! I recommend SeaWorld to everyone!!!! Clean exhibits, you can tell animals are well taken care of! Love Love Love!!!!
SeaWorld Orlando is a theme park and marine zoological park which, when combined with neighboring Discovery Cove and Aquatica, forms SeaWorld Parks and Resorts Orlando, an entertainment complex consisting of the three parks and many neighboring hotels. How big is it? In 2015, it hosted an estimated 4.7 million people, ranking it as the 10th most visited amusement park in the United States. Located just outside of Orlando at 7007 Sea World Drive, International Drive and Central Florida Parkway, it opened on December 15, 1973. There is so much to see and do on the 200-acre complex that there simply isn't enough time to do and see it all...13 rides, five roller coasters, Shamu Stadium's killer whale display, dolphin show, feed the seals and stingrays, watch the birds, shallow water sea animal exhibits featuring alligators, see turtles, rays, dolphins, flamingos, manatees and pelicans, gift shop, aquarium, penguins, restaurants, Waterfront Village, sea lions, otters, Nautilus Theater, Sea Garden, four-story net climb play area, beluga whales, walruses, polar bears, music concerts, fireworks show and an acrobatic show. Everybody has their favorites, of course. Like the Shark Encounter, which features an underwater tunnel and a wide array of sharks, stingrays, barracuda and venomous fish. And the Sharks Underwater Grill, where guests can dine while observing the sea life in the main exhibit tank. There is so much to see and do at SeaWorld and at other theme parks in the Orlando area that families are encouraged to spend at least a week in the vicinity.

I know seaworld is a bit marmite with some people but hand on heart I can say we all loved it. Some of the roller coasters are fantastic and we really enjoyed the shows ...mainly the dolphin show but the shamu show was good too.....but I felt it could be better. The sealion show would've been better if it wasn't for all the adult acting and it focuses on the animals more. We enjoyed feeding the stingrays and them splashing us lol and my top tip for lunch would be mamas pretzel kitchen which is just opposite the walk up to shamu stadium and before happy harbour area.....they were delicious and so filling. We missed out on mako as it wasn't finished when we visited but looked spectacular
